Blown-in Insulation

Expanding Blown-In PINK FIBERGLAS™ Insulation

Choose an insulation option that is non-combustible and meets all building codes for non-combustibility. It is non-corrosive and does not require fire-retardant chemicals that can leach out and promote corrosion of pipes, electrical equipment, or structural metal attachments. Additionally, it does not support mold growth. Inorganic glass fibers resist fungus and mold, ensuring that the insulation will not rot or decay. While fiberglass is tested for mold resistance according to ASTM C 1338, mold can still develop on building materials, including insulation, if they become contaminated with organic matter and water. To prevent mold growth on fiberglass insulation, ensure that any accumulated water is removed immediately, and address the source of the moisture. Wet insulation should be inspected for residual moisture and contamination, and any contaminated insulation should be promptly removed and replaced. This insulation will not absorb moisture, which is crucial because moisture reduces insulation effectiveness. Glass fibers inherently resist moisture buildup. The design of AttiCat™ Expanding Blown-In PINK FIBERGLAS™ Insulation relies on trapped air pockets between the strands of fiberglass. These tiny air pockets help resist heat flow, reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. Generally, the thicker the insulation, the more air pockets it contains, enhancing its insulating power. AttiCat™ Insulation is an excellent addition to your energy-efficient housing solutions!
